Fawn and Freda embodies a love for thoughtful simplicity and understated detailing, as well as a commitment to a way of making that is kinder both to the planet and the people who work with us.

Rooted in traditional heirloom craft, each piece is hand crafted in Britain using natural fibres. We pay respect to older, slower ways, while giving our designs a fresh and contemporary story.

Through soft, breezy shapes and considered details, we design pieces that are made to travel through life with you and be passed down through the family.

Designed by Poppy Totman, who hand-smocked & embroidered each piece in Fawn and Freda’s collection herself, skills she learned from her own mother while growing up.  A love letter to her mother and her daughter and to the generations of women who pass down their craft.

Our Ethos

We care about the world we live in and our impact on it. We are thoughtful about each decision we make, from the fibres we use, to the way our garments are produced. We believe that everyone involved in our journey should be treated with respect and fairness.

Made in Britain

All our garments are proudly made in London. We believe in supporting and sustaining quality craftsmanship and in lightening our footprint. We are open and transparent about our practices and our journey towards more mindful ways of creation.

A slow approach

We believe in consuming and wasting less, so we make our pieces in limited numbers and use only natural materials. We believe in a slower way of living, so do not work to traditional fashion seasons. We release our pieces when they are ready, and hope that they are treasured for years to come.
